Lime and rust descaler in hot water circuits – DESCAL
Lime and rust descaler in hot water circuits.
DESCAL is an association of acids and neutralizers. It is a cleaning agent with descaling and deoxidizing action, for the internal circuits of cold and heat generating systems. It has been provided with a high wetting power that, by reducing surface tension, penetrates the pores and fissures to carry out a double action:
- The cleaning action, which is carried out by a chemical attack on the limestone crusts (oxides, salts, carbonates, silica, calcareous incrustations and heavy metal cations), detaching and fractionating the sediment and disaggregating the insoluble salts that pass into the solution.
- The detergent action consists of emulsifying the impurities and dirt released.
It does not attack any type of material (lead, copper, metal, etc.) as it acts on them "superficially" without modifying them, preserving them thanks to its corrosion inhibitors.
This type of cleaning is not valid for open circuit systems, unless it is possible to close it in some way during the process.
In cleaning cooling towers, circuits and their components, water injection tubes (wastewater installations), water conditioners, boilers, heating systems, steam generators, steam cleaning machines, car radiators and in all those places where there are incrustations, mud sediments and other corrosive forms.
Always mixed with water, varying the dosage depending on the type of incrustation and its thickness as well as the characteristics of the system to be cleaned.
The amount of water can vary between 1 to 10 liters, the normal measurement being as follows:
1 liter of DESCAL for every 4 - 5 liters of "circulating" water, approximately.
