ANTIFREEZE COOLANT YELLOW GLYCOL

Pure organic antifreeze, special for generator sets. Yellow color.

APPLICATION: - Heat transfer systems where protection at low temperatures is required. - Especially recommended for industrial cooling systems and air conditioning installations: air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, etc. PROPERTIES AND ADVANTAGES:
- 100% concentrated product, soluble in water at any proportion. - Maximum protection at low temperatures: it has excellent antifreeze properties, significantly lowering the freezing point of water. Depending on the concentration, protection can be achieved down to -57ºC.
- High protection against corrosion: contains a special anti-corrosion additive of a “multi-metal” nature, which guarantees optimal protection of all metals normally present in these systems: steel, cast iron, aluminium, copper, brass and solder.
- Good heat transfer properties: it has a good heat transfer coefficient, due to its high thermal conductivity and specific heat. - Low viscosity at low temperatures: viscosity is one of the main characteristics of this type of fluid, due to its influence on the heat transfer and pumpability properties at low temperatures. Aqueous solutions of this product have a viscosity at low temperatures lower than that of other fluids of a different nature and, consequently, better pumpability and heat transfer properties. - Longer service life: it has been developed for use in industrial heat transfer systems and, therefore, has a “reinforced” additive compared to conventional automotive antifreezes. It has a high Alkalinity Reserve value, much higher than that of the aforementioned products, which guarantees a longer service life. This parameter determines the stability of the fluid and its service life, being a measure of its capacity to maintain the pH at slightly alkaline values and, thus, ensure good anticorrosive protection of the system. - Low vapour pressure: this product increases the boiling point of water, reducing evaporation losses. This allows for higher service temperatures.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: It is used diluted in water, preferably deionized or distilled. If this is not possible, the use of water with the following limits is recommended: HARDNESS: < 100 ppm of Calcium Carbonate (10º HF) CORROSIVITY: < 50 ppm of Chloride + Sulfate ions The concentration for use is determined primarily by the low temperature protection required in the system. The following table details the protection temperatures for different concentrations for use: Temperature Product volume -57ºC 60% -47ºC 55% -38ºC 50% -30ºC 45% -25ºC 40% -20ºC 35% -16ºC 30% -12ºC 25% Likewise, the heat transfer performance and the anticorrosive protection also depend on the concentration used. In aqueous solutions of this product, the lower the concentration, the better the heat transfer. However, on the other hand, the protection at low temperatures and against corrosion will be less. Therefore, for each system the optimum balance between heat transfer efficiency and protection against freezing and corrosion must be sought. In general, the minimum concentration of product to offer adequate anticorrosive protection is 25% (by volume), while to obtain good heat transfer, it should not exceed 65% (by volume).
